Dirk fo­cu­ses on mer­gers and ac­qui­si­ti­ons, cor­po­ra­te law and com­mer­cial law. His prac­ti­ce in the­se fields ran­ges from tran­sac­tion­al work to li­ti­ga­ti­on. Be­fo­re joi­ning LE­BUHN & PUCH­TA, Dirk work­ed for th­ree ye­ars in one of Germany’s lea­ding firms, ac­ting for lar­ge and lis­ted com­pa­nies. Dirk has de­ve­lo­ped sub­stan­ti­al ex­pe­ri­ence in mat­ters of mer­gers and ac­qui­si­ti­ons and struc­tu­ral ch­an­ges in the cor­po­ra­te set-up of com­pa­nies.  Dirk ad­vi­ses cli­ents – in­clu­ding clas­si­fi­ca­ti­on so­cie­ties– in the ma­ri­ti­me sec­tor and other in­dus­try sec­tors on their day-to-day cor­po­ra­te is­sues and on their con­trac­tu­al mat­ters. Dirk has very si­gni­fi­cant li­ti­ga­ti­on ex­pe­ri­ence in­clu­ding wi­th dif­fi­cult, high­ly char­ged ca­ses such as tho­se in­vol­ving share­hol­der dis­pu­tes, and al­so acts as ar­bi­tra­tor. Dirk has a re­pu­ta­ti­on for be­ing a com­mit­ted and ten­acious li­ti­ga­tor. He al­so has sub­stan­ti­al ex­pe­ri­ence of ma­ri­ti­me la­bour law. He re­gu­lar­ly speaks at con­fe­ren­ces and gi­ves se­mi­nars on cur­rent is­sues. In the JUVE Hand­book of Com­mer­cial Law Firms 2022/2023, Dirk is high­ligh­ted as a fre­quent­ly re­com­men­ded la­wy­er and lis­ted the­re wi­th the fol­lo­wing com­ment from a cli­ent: “Ex­cel­lent em­ploy­ment la­wy­er, ac­tively hel­ped shape the pro­ject”.
