Hen­drik­je Herr­mann new Pre­si­dent of the Trans­port and Lo­gi­stics Law Com­mis­si­on of AI­JA

Hen­drik­je Herr­mann has be­en ap­poin­ted as Pre­si­dent of the Trans­port and Lo­gi­stics Law Com­mis­si­on of AI­JA (In­ter­na­tio­nal As­so­cia­ti­on of Young La­wy­ers) du­ring this year’s an­nu­al con­gress in Wa­shing­ton, D.C.

Wi­th mo­re than 4,000 mem­bers from over 90 count­ries, AI­JA is the lea­ding glo­bal as­so­cia­ti­on for young busi­ness la­wy­ers. As such, it fos­ters in­ter­na­tio­nal ex­ch­an­ge on cur­rent le­gal and eco­no­mic is­sues and of­fers a uni­que plat­form for cross-bor­der co­ope­ra­ti­on.

The Trans­port and Lo­gi­stics Law Com­mis­si­on fo­cu­ses on le­gal mat­ters re­la­ting to trans­port, for­war­ding, lo­gi­stics, and sup­p­ly chain ma­nage­ment. Its work co­vers, among other things, in­ter­na­tio­nal con­tract draf­ting, lia­bi­li­ty is­sues, and re­cent re­gu­la­to­ry de­ve­lo­p­ments that are of key im­portance to com­pa­nies in the trans­port and lo­gi­stics in­dus­try.

By ta­king on the pre­si­den­cy of the Com­mis­si­on, Hen­drik­je Herr­mann as­su­mes a lea­ding ro­le in sha­ping the in­ter­na­tio­nal dis­cus­sion on the­se to­pics. Ac­ti­ve in­vol­vement in the Comms­si­on and AI­JA not on­ly streng­thens pro­fes­sio­nal ex­ch­an­ge but al­so en­ables us to gain ear­ly in­sights in­to in­ter­na­tio­nal trends and le­gal de­ve­lo­p­ments – a be­ne­fit we di­rect­ly in­cor­po­ra­te in­to the ad­vice we pro­vi­de to our cli­ents.
